Reason Why I Love Cookeville TN, #1

There are a million reasons to love Cookeville Tennessee. The people here are super friendly and kind. The cost of living is low, in fact, Cookeville once again ranked in the top 10 most affordable places to live. We aren’t overcrowded and you can still buy a home with acreage here. Taxes are low but quality of life is rich.  I could go on and on, but sometimes it’s the little things that really give you the flavor of a place.  So, I’ve decided to add a blog post every now and then that focuses on the little details that make this place so special.

Probably my favorite thing about Cookeville and the surrounding area is the beauty of Mother Nature. Wildlife is abundant and we still have wild and beautiful places to explore. You can hike to your heart’s content at one of the many parks in the area, but really, you often see and hear the most amazing things right in your own backyard. For instances, just listen to the owls singing in my backyard tonight.

Listening to these wonderful little fellows made me stop to think how blessed I am to call this place home. How many people get to listen to owls singing in their backyard in their entire lifetime? Probably not many. I also get to watch deer in my front yard, squirrels, wild turkey, hawks, raccoons, foxes, and occasionally…..a possum in my birdfeeder…..but that’s another story!
